falling

my eyes close and i can feel it - pulling my soul back to where it longs to be. i can hear it - over and over telling me to open to it. still the fear tugs - until the struggle becomes too much. and then, once again, i release into it. falling, falling, i brush the fingertips
of god.

tears flowing, face scrunched in pain, i ask out loud 'what would he say now?' the answer whispers inside me, 'i haven't left you. i'm in your heart. feel me loving you. that hasn't stopped. listen for me when you need me - and remember i am part of you.' placing my hand on my heart, i closed my eyes and felt him.

the healing began

feeling dirty, ashamed and damaged, she hid her story. not knowing that the woman next to her also hid hers. and the next woman, and the next. finally someone whispered the truth. and their eyes met, and their tears came, their heads nodded softly, and their arms reached out. holding each other gently, telling their stories, the healing began.

maybe grace is figuring out it's not all about you. that people are doing what they're doing for their own reasons. not yours. and maybe grace is accepting that.

sometimes i didn't think i could do it. other times i knew i had to. the journey now was inward. it was what was left to offer. holding the light of you, i entered my darkness.

we received a special request recently from two of our all time favorite shop owners. deb & sandy from down family lane in walnut creek, california asked us to keep all our independent retailers in our hearts this month! they, like many of the shop owners we work with, believe they are called to offer something important to the world by creating their special spots for us! and the shops are struggling to hang on right now! all too often we forget how important our financial and emotional support is to these places and their owners! let's remember to frequent their shops! AND tell them we love them!!

and! i just found out for the first time that you can purchase on line from down family lane! i'm headin' over now to get something wonderful! i didn't even realize i could do that! shame on me! i should be shopping at all the shops that carry bone sighs and offer internet shopping. i wonder how many i'm missing that have shopping on line???? i'll see if i can gather a list and post it for our christmas shopping!! that'd be so cool!

let's hold our shop owners in our hearts this month! we're so lucky to have them! and let's do a little shopping with them to back that up! debby and sandy....thank you for the reminder!
