Others' Sighs

I look into the sun seeking warmth and
am blinded by the passion of radiant
light from a source unfamiliar to me.

Seeing only spots of light I stand still,
held motionless by a will stronger
than my own.

Clarity of vision eludes me. I am stead-
fast a seeker, perpetual in my need to learn;
to grow. Through the mist I look for
clear sky, an easy path.

Seeing now as far as my hearts song carries
across time and space the world stands in
stark relief to be appreciated for it’s
beauty, longevity, and peace.
