Others' Sighs

The End of the Eclipse...

She heard the echo, "Death changes you" and felt the black tar of despondency beginning to mold an empty form. Then somewhere inside she felt a fist rise out of the mounded grave of her soul. She cried out, "No! I won't be changed like that."

In Spirit's swift and sweet embrace she heard grief's pearl revealed. "Pain offers these gifts to you within its depths…wisdom, compassion and grace." Her quiet replies, "Yes. Yes. Yes!" reverberated against the darkness. She opened her heart and surrendered to it all.

A sliver of light began to shine out from around the dark edges, signaling the end of the eclipse.
