it's so quiet down here ('cept for all the talking to myself!) i can actually
listen to the breeze blow thru the window and squirrels runnin' across
my roof! what a beautiful time of year! may a thousand leaves fall on
your head, may all of your roasted marshmallows be just

with her, i am reminded what a gift her being here is.
it's felt just a little bit extra on her birthday!
we wanted to celebrate her being here with us today
and every day! denise, you are beautiful.
and the other denise holds a special place in our hearts
as well. one of my heroes, she gives her all to raise
her sons. reminding me of the things that matter
and the power that lies inside us, i carry her in my pocket
and pull her out when things get hard.
