the quote in the picture above really happened to me.
one night when i was out workin' in my yard,
i heard that whisper........and i understood the stars...

it was just a moment.
one of those fleeting things that we want to hold on to,
but passes so quickly anyway.

since then, there's been many other moments.
some sad and hard, some joyful and wonderful.

it's difficult to hold on to those 'holy' sparks of light that happen here and there.
other stuff washes over us and takes over.
but we have them, and they remind us that there is so much more to living
than we can understand.

i wanted to put that reminder out to all of us this holiday season.
so when the different emotions come rolling thru, we can kinda breathe deep,
remind ourselves to trust and to keep going, and to keep an eye on the stars -
both above us and inside us.
