~~~in our hearts~~~
one of my closest friends lost her dad last nite.
it was the whole long story and more.
the out of town visits that became more and more frequent.
the moving in and helping with care taking, and then the long final days.
as with all stories, there were so many complications, so many ups and downs.
so many emotions ebbing and flowing.
and those don't stop. they just keep on goin'.
i know many of you know exactly what i'm talking about.
so i wanted to ask you to hold my friend in your hearts this month.
and hold everyone who's been down this path or is headin' down this path as well.
i'm headin' down to be with her tomorrow. this newsletter is prepared early
and will go out after i return. so i'll do the holding as best i can for the next
few days. then when you get this, if you join me in that, it will be so awesome.
because you know, i really think it matters...
~~~you guys!!!~~~

* ah, kristi came thru writing a note last month and she had her blog tagged at the bottom of that note!
always curious, i went over and checked it out. my gosh, she's a photographer! she even takes great
photos with her i-phone!! now THAT'S a good photographer! her blog is lovely and i think you'll
enjoy taking a peek! head on over and let kristi know you were there!

*patty came thru telling me of her new book, 'my grandmother's necklace.' she took some of her
grandmother's stories and wove them together with her own and created a fictionalized
history of her hungarian family's bloodline. you can find her here!
thank you, patty for sharing!

*i bumped into irene thru email and found she was a speaker, soul-centered coach, and national
award winning author! how's that for a good bumpin' into someone?! her latest book looks
pretty darn interesting, 'conversations with jerry and other people i thought were dead.'
curious? check her out here!

*my soul sister, betsy, shared such a cool insight with me recently, i asked if she'd be okay
with sharing it with all of you. she graciously said yes and so we just had to make her our
wonderful person of the month!! if you haven't stopped by to see the wonderfuls yet,
you'll want to check out betsy and her insight! i think it's something every single one of us
could use! if you think so too, drop her a note and let her know! it's not easy putting this
stuff out there...and notes help a whole lot! thank you, bets, for sharing yourself with us.
you truly are wonderful!

*ah, you guys probably know my buddy, zura, by now. she's my awesome cool artist buddy
who is always up to something creative. well, she's at it again, and she's built a brand new
website! and i really think a lot of you are gonna want to run right over! it's a site that
lists on-line art courses! it includes all kindsa art forms. there's something for everyone!
we were so excited to share this news and zura herself with you that we're celebrating
zura as our wonderful artist of the month! head on over and check her out! thanks,
zura for this great service you're offering!

*my buddy, pam, sent me this link awhile ago, and i was just so moved by it.
it's been a long time since we've included a video here. too long! this one is about
the wounded healer and i thought a lot of you would find it inspiring. i sure did.
pam, thank you again for sharing this with me. i keep watching it!

~~~new stuff!~~~
From the stars
from the stars
she came from the stars.
it was her job to remember that,
to hold that, and to honor that.
from the awakening series! noah's art and terri's words!!
It's there
it's there
don't wait for it.
know it's there already.
don't stop to feel it.
move in its flow without thinking. don't test the wind...
just life your wings - and leap!
from the awakening series! noah's art and terri's words!!
Make it
make it
to have joy you must make it.
and take it.
saying you want it isn't enough. maybe that's with everything... saying you want it isn't enough. make it. take it. know it's yours.
from the awakening series! noah's art and terri's words!!
Holding Love
holding love
he wasn't the past. and she knew that. altho, sometimes she got muddled.
but he never let her down.
slowly, she learned to trust. gradually, she set the past down. and gently, with great care, she held the present. she held him.
and she held love.
Losing Boundaries
losing boundaries
she lost the boundaries between herself and the prayer.
mixing together,
they became the same thing.
rather than confusing her,
it changed her.
and she was never the same again.
An Understanding
an understanding
it was an understanding that found its way to her.
she understood now. it had sunk in. good wasn't always going to win. she understood all too well.
but that's not why you keep trying.
you keep trying because you have to.
. you keep trying because if you don't,
the dark really will always win.
and that isn't an option.
you keep trying because your heart can't live any other way.
you keep trying because that is your way of living.
you keep trying because utltimately, you believe in light.
because ultimately you believe.
Housewarming
~~and one last 'awakening'~~
yeah, this one's my favorite!
(and this is one of the 'noah and terri combined' ones!)
Stars inside
she had stars inside her, and she knew it.
she wasn't supposed to give them away.
she was supposed to let them shine.
somehow we lost this in the shuffle!!!
josh made this poster for the tough angels website and we sell it over there
to help raise funds for patty. but it should be on our site too! the proceeds all go to patty
wherever you purchase it! i actually pulled this out to donate to a homeless shelter recently.
i thought it was PERFECT! and that's when i realized it wasn't on our website!!
but now it is! josh did the whole darn thing - words and art.
i have some pretty amazing sons, don't i??
Fly to me in the night when I'm all alone Hold me tight and comfort the bleeding in my soul
Understand I feel like I have been shattered Can't line up the pieces for Happy Ever After
A moment's all we've got and for now that's all that matters And these rough angels bring me hope and laughter
Tough Angels gather all around Rough Angels pick me off the ground
Sometimes I break down and cry
But Broken wings still know how to fly
~~~an offering~~~

i've gotten some really nice feedback on the new book.
enough to make me hope that it can be helpful to women searching.
if you're a counselor or someone with a waiting room where women are hangin'
out and waiting and a bit stressed, i'd like to offer you a book for your lounge.
if you pay shipping, i'll get you the book. whattya think? it actually calms
me down - which makes me laugh. i mean, it's my own book. jeesh. but it does.
and if it can help someone who's a bit anxious and sitting there waiting,
i'd like to offer it. you know i'd love to offer this to everyone out there,
but that's not something i can do right now. so please, only request one
if you're someone with clients coming in who could use it. or if you're a client
and want to leave it in the waiting room that you hang out in. seemed like
it was a good thing to offer. you can just reply to this newsletter if
you'd like one! and i'd like to thank you for what you give to women out
there by offering your counseling and healing sessions. thank goodness
we have you guys!!

that's it for this month! whew! feels like it's been busy!
thanks for all the notes and the sharing that you do with us!
enjoy the end of the summer and remember to honor yourself with all that you do...
