Wonderful artist of the month

You guys who come thru here are amazing, amazing people! And you honor us so with the notes that you send us. Thank you for taking the time to do that. Sometimes you have your own links to your own art, music, blogs, and things and we want to pass them around. We include those in our newsletters, just let us know! If you want to share your own 'sighs' we have a page for that. If you have inspirational stories, let's share them. We want this to be much more than a web site. We want this to be a place of community where we inspire each other and lift each other up. Come join us! And thank you for honoring us with your presence.

Once upon a time, I was told that I couldn't do it. That I shouldn't dare. That the dream was too risky. That the risks too scary. The only people behind me were my three sons. And together, my three sons and I built a dream. Can you imagine building a dream with your sons? There are days I feel like the luckiest person alive. And that feeling has its roots in the darkest time in my life. How's that for something to think about on those dark days? Gold is found in that darkness. Gold that you don't even know exists. Hang on to that thought and come be part of our journey.

hey, you guys...i finally nabbed zakk and asked him about the forum here and how you have to scroll thru pages to get to the end.
i swear i asked him this ages ago when we were first talkin' about it......but i don't remember this part.......
he looked at me with a grin and said 'you don't want that.' and he explained to me how confusing it would be and how hard to follow.
he said that we don't quite have the hang of a forum down! and i laughed.....yeah, we prolly don't.

i told him how it's a pain to scroll down, flip to the next page and then do it again.
he laughed at us, guys. yeah, he did. he laughed at us and told me we really need to figure out how to use a forum. that the threads
    shouldn't be that long.

    ahem. what can i say???
so start new threads whenever you feel like it! apparently there can't be too many!!!  :)
i don't know what else to say.......it's tough to negotiate for help when you're being laughed at!
    (good naturedly of course!)  :)

so feel like sayin' a thought? start a new thread! let's see how that works!!  :)

I can do that. And I can work on keeping my thread short..... but I don't see that well and hittin that little eye on my needle is really hard..... that's why I always keep my threads long.  that way I don't have to rethread my needle so often... :/

Here's another idea.  In another forum I'm involved in, you can jump to the page you want before you actually enter the "discussion" you're interested in.  While you would still have to scroll, you would at least jump to the page you want right when you enter.image

Because while it's great to have new discussions, it also makes sense to have one "Thanksgiving" discussion instead of Susie starting a new one every week or so.  A little less clutter.

i tried to explain that to zakk....laughin' here........
and well, he's just very male.
    what can i say???

i love him for it........and i think we can do a little bit of both.....
long long threads like susie's gratitude one.........and short ones that bop us around.
    we'll have a mix....

and thanks for the tidbit dan! :)

there's no rules here, ms. susie!
what you can do if you feel like it's getting too long is just start part two of whatever.
ya know? why not??? and if you don't feel like it, don't.
    it doesn't matter......whatever works.

    no rules.
just feel free to do what feels good.....

can I just say, that the top to bottom hasn't been so bad. I have been sitting here reading through a bunch of posts, and It has kinda helped that I could pick up where I left off and read to the end...

so i guess it's not all bad...

    right?

    It all makes sense.

I especially like this concept of "feel free to do what feels good". Woooohoooo!
Geeez, ya'd think we  were products of the 60's or somethin'......
