Wonderful artist of the month

You guys who come thru here are amazing, amazing people! And you honor us so with the notes that you send us. Thank you for taking the time to do that. Sometimes you have your own links to your own art, music, blogs, and things and we want to pass them around. We include those in our newsletters, just let us know! If you want to share your own 'sighs' we have a page for that. If you have inspirational stories, let's share them. We want this to be much more than a web site. We want this to be a place of community where we inspire each other and lift each other up. Come join us! And thank you for honoring us with your presence.

Once upon a time, I was told that I couldn't do it. That I shouldn't dare. That the dream was too risky. That the risks too scary. The only people behind me were my three sons. And together, my three sons and I built a dream. Can you imagine building a dream with your sons? There are days I feel like the luckiest person alive. And that feeling has its roots in the darkest time in my life. How's that for something to think about on those dark days? Gold is found in that darkness. Gold that you don't even know exists. Hang on to that thought and come be part of our journey.

I remember a time not so long ago that I peeked onto this site and lurked around, reading everyone's posts and wondering if I would ever have the courage to speak up....

well, I did and received such warm and wonderful support that eventually I leaked that I was a closet writer....

then, the encouragement came to post some writings, then to post the link to my blog that I had been secretly working on....

I remember being terrified and exhilarated at the same time, and remember some hysterical post that Terri had put on again for my benefit about pushing the "send" button for the first time and about hyperventilating or wanting to throw up or something funny to illustrate that we all have fears...so here I learned to calm my fears a bit but also not wait for them to entirely go away....so I posted the link to my blog, went outside and screamed and took the dogs for a walk....not sure if I even checked the BS forum for days, waaaay too scared but eventually I did and again, met with love, respect, support, fabulous suggestions....

So, you will all be glad to hear that I didn't stop there....been writing small articles/stories about things that interested me....some may remember my love for the owl who came to live in my yard....so, I wrote an article about her that is being published later this month!  Its a small magazine with a wonderful spirit and I'm so geeked!  Seriously, I couldn't have done this without the support I got here...I LOVE ALL OF YOU SO MUCH!

When it comes out, I'll post the link but I wanted to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU....This is big for me to have trusted the universe and not have it hurt me, that's the best part of this...I trusted and followed my heart and it worked!  I've watched it work for others but this time it worked for me!

Ok, I'm almost done here but needed to say that it is a very sacred place here where small and very important miracles happen!

I feel the same way Laurel.  To be honest, I was shocked that something I wrote could have such an affect on someone.  It really made my day.  This is an awesome place.

    And Laurel.
