You guys who come thru here are amazing, amazing people! And you honor us so with the notes that
you send us. Thank you for taking the time to do that. Sometimes you have your own links to your
own art, music, blogs, and things and we want to pass them around. We include those in our
newsletters, just let us know! If you want to share your own 'sighs' we have a page for that. If
you have inspirational stories, let's share them. We want this to be much more than a web site.
We want this to be a place of community where we inspire each other and lift each other up. Come
join us! And thank you for honoring us with your presence.
Once upon a time, I was told that I couldn't do it. That I shouldn't dare. That the dream was too
risky. That the risks too scary. The only people behind me were my three sons. And together, my
three sons and I built a dream. Can you imagine building a dream with your sons? There are days I
feel like the luckiest person alive. And that feeling has its roots in the darkest time in my life.
How's that for something to think about on those dark days? Gold is found in that darkness. Gold
that you don't even know exists. Hang on to that thought and come be part of our journey.
Thought I would follow Terri's advice about starting a category. Last night I wrote a piece on my blog about shame. This morning, the Bone Sigh Art that arrived in my email box also touched on shame and touched my heart. There are no coincidences, are there? So, I'm sharing here the link to my story "A Child of Shame" - somehow that seems the thing to do today, to share this with you.
Your story really touched my heart...I could really feel the pain of that little girl and everything that she wanted to be...So glad that your life has come together and found purpose and delighted that you are here on this forum....keep posting your stories here, there are lots of incredible women here who will love them as I did...

*I always struggle with writing. For me, the process is very much like the famous quote from Red Smith: “Writing is easy. You just open a vein and bleed.”WOWZA....this just about made me come undone as I read this in my e-mail this morning from Brene Brown's blog, Ordinary Courage....not only is the quote incredible but I always find her so full of inspiration and grace....and of course, I posted about it, very loosely thinking of Stitched while I was writing it....hoping she sees this here....Terri, what a miracle you have created here.... www.rescuinglittlel.wordpress.com

that's one awesome quote, isn't it? there's some line in a song i keep hearing about 'opening my wrist' and i can't hear it without thinking of stitched now.
it truly is....she has touched me in a very special way that i get and then i don't....i just really like the part where we are all holding hands through this...makes all the difference to me....
thanks again for making this space for us...
