Once upon a time, I was told that I couldn't do it. That I shouldn't dare. That the dream was too risky. That the risks too scary. The only people behind me were my three sons. And together, my three sons and I built a dream. Can you imagine building a dream with your sons? There are days I feel like the luckiest person alive. And that feeling has its roots in the darkest time in my life. How's that for something to think about on those dark days? Gold is found in that darkness. Gold that you don't even know exists. Hang on to that thought and come be part of our journey.

your fingerprints are still on my skin,

    invisible bruises

    laced around my wrists

        so i cut

    to break them

    and set myself free

    my throat still aches

    at your form

        and so i burn

to turn your taste into ash

and give it to the wind

    you still swim inside me,

    cling to my walls,

    float in my womb

        so i bleed

    to drown you

I wanted to experiment with words in a circle.  It didn't work as well as I wanted it to, but it was a fun experiment for me.  It may be a little confusing, so here is how I originally wrote it.

    Tug Of War
    My heart wants it
    My mind wants it
My heart knows it can happen
My mind doubts it ever will
My heart tugs my mind to its way of thinking
My mind shakes its head as my heart is broken... again
My heart forgets what broke it yesterday and knows it will be different this time
My mind sadly shakes its head as it is pulled after my heart

I love everyone's poems...so full of heart, each one speaking their truth.

I thought I'd share an older poem I wrote back in 2008...as I was typing it out just now,

I wanted to replace Mother Earth for God in my wording...hmmm, at first I thought it curious, but only a moments passing led me to recognize that both words are one in the same in collective consciousness, so I did not amend it.

I also posted the song I listen to when I read this poem...it is by Liquid Mind Spirit and entitled My Silent Knowing.  I've been listening to Liquid Mind Spirit for a long time now, and I find great healing in their music.  I use it often to write, meditate, or go within to do healing work.

Enjoy, My Beauty Way Brothers and Sisters :)

    Have a Blessed Day...

    Akasa

    The Crystal Cave

Sitting in the Crystal Cave - amidst the myriad hues

    and colors of God's eye,

I am content, lost within my own being of light,

Trying to capture the energies so swiftly and rapidly

moving in concentric circles round about me.

There is silence here, but it is the silence of no voice.

No voice to intrude the interlude being played

    within the ancient cave.

I know that God is here.

Instead what permeates my hearing, my knowing,

is the constant drip of water as it drops slowly, fervently,

reverently into the crystal lake beside me.

Waters drumming their own beat, or...

is it the heartbeat of God as it pulses and flows?

I lay down upon my belly, touching the stone so cold

    beneath me,

And dip my hnads bit by bit into the cold, pristine,

    healing water.

I see my reflection - it is of a different nature.

I am filled with colors of the rainbow the likes

of which I've never seen before.

They run through my being like Tiger Stripes.

I sip the water, testing its crystal pureness

with my tongue...cold, oh so cold,

but the refreshment and healing that flows

into my being from it, brings me home.

I have found my dwelling place,

Here amongst the Crystals and the Stone People.

    I sleep...deeply and fully.

I know that all is well in my soul - I know

    That God lives here too.

Thank you both, it is a gift to share here, to see that my struggle, my work, touches, speaks to others on the healing path, that it can be a gift; blossoms, sweet fruit of the work.....

I was thinking about your one blog post today Terri.  About how sometimes the love of friendship doesn't work out and it isn't our fault.  So I had that bouncing around in my head as I prepared some special Bone Sigh cards that I got in the mail today and paid some bills and puttered around.  And I came up with this.

    Wasn't Meant To Be
When I met you, I felt like a kid in junior high school
Willing to carry your books for you
Helping you with your Math homework
    Passing you notes in class
All I wanted in return was to be loved
Not the "let's get married" kind of love
But the "let's be really good friends" kind of love
But something was in the way
There was a wall that kept us apart
When I think about it, I still get a little teary eyed
Sad that what could have been a really great friendship
    Wasn't meant to be

    Sunset

    The
world stands out on either side

    No wider than the heart is wide;

Above the world is stretched the sky,

No higher than the soul is high.

Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.
